A Quick Look Into My Digital Storify Paper: Personal Experience and Analysis
Here is the current state and very rough draft of my Storify Digital Paper. I'm going to continue to work on it this week, but let me know what you think and any changes you recommend. Hope to hear from everyone soon!
Pat, you are off to a really great start with your Storify. You did a really exceptional job with your goals and objective. They are realistic and measureable. I know you are still working on a few sections of the paper, so I just offered a few things you might want to consider when working on those final sections.
• When you review your stats, you might want to highlight your most viewed post as well as the post with the most comments. Then you can discuss what strategies or tactics helped you achieve that success. • In the Conclusion, you could find a way to discuss how the things you have learned in this class might help you in a Sports Communication Career. Perhaps you could discuss what you learned that you think will be most applicable to life after graduation.
Best of luck this weekend in Springfield and best of luck with this paper and the last few weeks of this course!
I like the overall look of your draft. It moves quick. Aside from the beginning, background and personal introduction, you use bullets of information, and short concise sentences followed up with cool screen shots that really help to add to the overall flow of the piece as a whole.
I look forward to seeing the analysis portion of your paper. One thing to keep in mind when creating that section is to continue using screen shots to illustrate your stats in lieu of a text only view.
Hey Pat, I think you have a great skeleton for your storify paper. I wish you would have included more detail so that myself and others could give you more direct feedback that you can use to help you produce a stellar final product. I like how you organized the activities section so that it reads more like a timeline. I noticed in the strategy section. Your opening paragraph spoke about strategies you will do in future tense but should actually be in past tense since the paper will focus on social media activities that have passed. It was great that your tweet was favorited, that is exactly the kind of activity that sparks word of mouth.
Damaris, I appreciate your advice about the current state of my storify! I have to make sure I fix the present/past tense situation. I was a little confused since I was writing the paper while the class was still going. I'll get right into fixing that. Thanks for the helpful feedback!
Hi Pat, great start to your Storify! Good integration of Storify media throughout the post. I also like how you kept your body copy short and sweet, it’s easy to stay engaged that way!
For your background section, it may be helpful to add some more information specific to this course – like some of our course objectives. I plan on adding some more details to my background as well. I think what you have is great so far, but this will help set the stage for someone who may not be as familiar with our course.
I know your Analysis section is still a work in progress, but it would be great if you could link your very clearly defined goals and objectives with the actual outcomes. This will help directly demonstrate your successes!
Lindsey, Great point about including some background information about the course. That is valuable information for anyone who is reading my story that is not particularly familiar with the course. I'll also include some direct quotes from the text to help enhance the final product. And I'll make sure to link defined goals and outcomes in my analysis. Thanks for the feedback!
I liked that you started off by discussing the importance of social media. The goals you set were very good. They were measureable and made sense based on what our project was for the semester. What made you choose to set the goals based on the semester instead of per week? I really liked your activities section where you included posts from different social sites. How do you feel these social sites did in terms of driving people to your blog? Were there specific sites that performed better?
